Hi I’m Gareth, owner of Black Sky Blade Co.

After leaving the Royal Navy in 2014 I struggled to find a job that I enjoyed but always knew I wanted to make something for a living.

I have always enjoyed cooking and various different outdoor exploits, which often involved camping and cooking over fire. So in 2022 with the guidance of a few YouTube videos I decided to have a go at making my first knife.

Since then I have been hooked and have dedicated myself to learning how to make the best knives I can.

I am always pushing to provide the best product for the end user, so I send my knives to be tested in professional kitchens and I put them through their paces in the outdoors.
